I just re-watched an old favorite that I first saw in theaters in 1989, Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man, with Mickey Rourke and Don Johnson... I had forgotten a couple scenes were in a airplane boneyard

It was supposedly a boneyard at the Burbank Airport Storage Facility, but notice how the top and bottom computer maps in orange change the name of the airport from scene to scene, from Hollywood Airport to Burbank Airport.

This boneyard is actually the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base's Airplane Boneyard

What is really amazing is the cast of actors that weren't yet super stars,
Tia Carrere, Big John Studd (WWF wrestling) Vanessa Williams (Miss America, then scandal over unauthorized photos that were sold to Penthouse, then several great albums of very cool piano lounge music, then prime time tv roles), Tom Sizemore before getting into Tarantino movies, Kelly Hu (Nash Bridges), and REALLY shocking to me, Giancarlo Esposito as Jimmy,

  1. Yeap, that is the "rea" boneyard. My son was out there about six months ago and it is no longer open to the public at that time. He did go through the Museum and got to visit our beloved Fort Worth B-36. He didn't get to stay long so I see a road trip in the coming future.
