Chopped El Camino in gold at the Beatnik Blowout 2011

  1. That is really pretty but I wonder if it even started out as an El Camino since it has no tail gate and the bed edges don't run straight down the side as with a std El Camino. The matched trunk-lid-like bed cover is most unusual and appears extremely well-done as with all the paint and body work. If the owner/builder is reading this perhaps they could fill us in if this was an El Camino originally and how they constructed the rear half.
