The cars weren't as futuristic as the convention hall they were displayed in... they sure looked weird though, and were the early stages of what designers had to go through to get to cool looking concepts
Lets say, someone out there disagrees with me. Take another look at that 4 door. It's hideous.
Not some of the GM studio's best work. They did have some good parts, like the coves on the 4-door that turned up on the later Corvettes, and the wrap-around windshields that were popular through the early 1960's. The front ends of both of the cars in the foreground are ugly.

ReplyDeleteThe Cadillac has what I call a mascara line coming off the side of the headlight and back the fender a bit. Makes all the difference.
