a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by an 18 yr old who claims to have a medical condition (but drives anyway?) drifted into oncoming traffic, and that was a recently restored 68 Barracuda that was just purchased, and out for it's 1st drive for the new owner

The accident occurred just before 7:40 p.m. when the Grand Marquis was heading westbound drifted into the way of a 1968 Barracuda.

The cars’ driver’s sides collided, sending the Barracuda off the side of the road and into grape vineyards. The Grand Marquis continued westbound for about 100 yards, until it went off the side of the roadway, struck a concrete cap of a water well and came to a rest.

The driver of the Grand Marquis, an 18-year-old male, told Pennsylvania State Police that he suffered a medical condition that caused him to lose consciousness.

  1. Now that is one hell of a lame excuse which should be easy to disprove.

  2. How did this kid get a license? When I lived in a small town in NE, there was a couple whose only son had epilepsy and on more than one occasion had a seizure behind the wheel and drove off into the yards and fields of his neighbors. The locals folks wanting to be nice didn't report the incidents to the Sheriff's dept. and his parents were wealthy enough to pay for any damages he caused. Everyone thought they were doing him a favor, till one night he had a seizure that caused him to slam the gas pedal to the floor, he swerved off the road, went airborne and nailed a cottonwood tree at 60mph and was killed. So his parents, who thought they were doing right by their kid now have to live with the guilt that had they not been so permissive he'd still be alive.
