Back in the mid-90's I worked for an insane old man and his equally crazy wife. It paid well while I was going back to school. He had a knack for pissing off pretty much everyone that ever came in contact with him and apparently had made quite an enemy of several people in his condo complex. In the 6 months I worked there he showed up at the store 3 different times with his late 80's Cadillac looking exactly like this. He had this poor high school kid working for us as a runner and every time he made the kid sand it all down in the parking lot, right on the strip in Vegas, in 100 degree heat, and rattle-can a new coat of white on the entire car.
The old guy was blind as a bat and I never could figure out how he managed to drive to the store every day without hitting someone. The runner was forced to sit in front of his desk so he could see him and I managed to escape paint duty because as long as I kept moving he couldn't see me. I would spend hours moving the same box from the front of the store to the back room and back when there wasn't actual work to be done.
Maybe it was that girl that got airhorned.
ReplyDeletelol... ha! Now that's something I hadn't thought of... but you're right
