Another miss on the truck spotting. International made great trucks too, but this race hauler is definitely a 1934 or 1935 Diamond T.
ReplyDeletenot a miss, a mistake. I wasn't reading very carefully the long brass badge on the side cowling. I actually read it to say International. Sorry about that. I really am tired of being wrong all the time
DeleteJesse; Do not sell yourself short. Just A Car Guy is just about the best car site going. Always something new and interesring as well as some familiar classics. Thanks for your website and don't ever consider yourself wrong.

Awww thanks Joe! But he got me... fair and square. Of course, he's guessing on the year, as a 34 or 35, and missed the 1939 license plate.. so, I call it a draw! Ha!
DeleteThanks for the compliment! Not bad for a spare time hobby thing.... I mean, think of all the fish I'd be hauling out of some lake if I was in the Minnesota/Wisconsin/Michigan area and not on this computer in San Diego! Spare time hobbies sure can accumulate a lot of results over the years! I'm glad you've been enjoying the variety.
Does any story or vehicle quickly come to mind as the coolest thing you can recall seeing on this blog?
DeleteIt's too difficult to think of just a single coolest thing because the beauty of the site is that everything transportation related makes it into Just A Car Guy. I do seem to enjoy your photos and commentary from car shows you attend personally. I'm a fan of all the machines of land, sea and air from bicycles to blimps to motorcycles to boats to cars and trucks and i could mention a few other things you cover. Everyday I'm happily suprised by your new posts. Keep it up. Your spare time hobby sure makes a lot of people happy.
well then you've come to the right place to get a full variety of stuff! Awww dang, I don't go to as many shows anymore, can't afford the gas and how it speeds up the wearing out of my car. I'm 30 percent mileage on my current car as my previous one, in the same amount of time.. and I like the lower mileage lasting longer!
DeleteLol... I'm happily surprised to keep finding interesting content!
May I say I concur with Joe. I always check your blog every day, sometimes twice. Again, great work Jesse.
Deletecorrection, 30% less mileage.
DeleteThanks JSFury! Luckily, some days I'm posting enough that checking the blog twice a day isn't without it's rewards!
Look at that dang dog!!!!
ReplyDeletethe dog was a frequent drivers seat showoff... I found a lot of photos of that dog in the race car being a camera magnet
DeleteIt a 1934 Diamond T in its 1939 configuaration. In 34 it was whit which corresponds with the last photo. The Body was made in early 34 be Guedelhoefer wagon works Indianapolis.
