I'm not picking up on why have the jump seats on this 1912 Cole. But treadless tires on the snowy roads? That must have been about useless


I wonder what the reason was to carry the passengers. That strikes me as an uncomfortable ride

  1. The jump seats are for the two extra guys needed to pull the car out when it gets stuck in the snow.

  2. I gues it's the early version of a Mustang/Camaro. You get to have your sporty car but, if you have to, you can carry a couple of extra people (however uncomfortably) across town.
    I like the way that the photographer set the engine crank handle perfectly vertical for the photo.
