Peter helmed the dealership business, with his father acting as a sort of overseer, despite the business being largely run on his own capital. However, Monteverdi was cast out of Ferrari's inner circle after failing to pay for a 100-car inventory shipment to his dealership, angering Enzo Ferrari himself.
So, instead of trying to repair his relationship with Ferrari he began producing his own, home-grown luxury grand tourer with its design and production by Frua. By 1968, Monteverdi moved its design and production to Carrozzeria Fissore.The "375" in the High Speed's nomenclature is derived from the SAE Gross Horsepower Output found in the Chrysler 440
Lamborghini was also founded by a guy who had a falling out with Enzo Ferrari.

right! I didn't add that in so this was focused on Monteverdi's story, and it's interesting that this story is more how he took 100 cars on delivery, and didn't pay for them. That's theft. Lamborghini was simply pissed at Enzo for being shit at customer service
