John Force officially retired today, but I don't think that is actually news, news usually comes as a random unpredictable event. Force retiring was nothing like that

He was a news item in drag racing for decades, but after his last crash (June 2024) it wasn't like there would be any other option at age 75 with the problems involved with drag racing in the most elite level

Amazing career, accomplishments, and legacy.

  1. Chris Karamesines "The Greek" retired from drag racing at the end of the 2020 NHRA season, at the age of 89. He was the first driver to compete and be the fastest at over 78 years old in 2009 and made the decision to retire after the 2020 season.

    1. The following Monday, his granddaughter Krista would complete her top fuel licensing run in her grandfather's dragster. Just like Force, they open the door for their offspring to take over. It's not like anyone else can get into such a millionaires sport.
