I am sure that if we could take that wall apart, we'd find a super magnet set on "repulsion mode" is the reason these cars seem to be able to avoid hitting it by inches at that speed

I saw a couple of the cars get too close and lose their side mirrors to the wall. That has to be punishing for the drivers to cut across the kerbs in that chicane lap after lap.
