Love the sound of those firing up....In Seattle, back in the day, we got to hear it when the Hydroplanes lit up for the races..Boring Zoomers today.And they charge $$$ just to sit in a public park...Nutz!!!
I did too, in Pearl Harbor, for the last fully piston powered race, and one hydroplane race in San Diego Bay, with the last piston powered one... I haven't heard of them racing hydroplanes for years though... Thunder On The Bay was typically the name of the event
