Through The Crate Escape, supporters can choose to fund a packing box and, in doing so, help preserve and share stories of courage, innovation, and sacrifice.
The new Collections Hub is part of a broader transformation of the RAF Museum Midlands, scheduled for completion in the summer of 2027.

So, why have several 10s of thousands of historical items been stored, instead of on display, by a museum - which only exists to show and share the items, (that's why they charge admission) but now they want to charge a lot more, to let people know what's in storage.
Huh. Have I got that right, or missed something obvious? In the video that explains it all... they say they made a new museum location, with a new exhibition, a lot of new green space, and a learning center.... but they don't mention that these items in storage, that they want to fundraise to move, will be given a place to be displayed.
See? new green space, new exhibition, and new learning center... nothing about new exhibit halls expansion the size of several warehouses, as that is what it would take to display all the stuff they want you to pay to move, that's stored in the warehouse. That's pretty cheeky
