In 2022, car collector Bobby Knudsen bought this Superbird for a record-breaking $1.65 million (after buyer’s fees).

He must have been desperate, the bid he was up against, was only 1.1Million, so, obviously, he paid 50% over the high bid... and easily twice the realistic price 

 Unfortunately for Knudsen’s family, its value took a massive nosedive when they sold it at the Indy Mecum Auction over the weekend without reserve, as its new owner only paid $418,000 for it.
