nice truck!
remember when IROC Zs were everywhere?
it didn't take much for this late 70s Datsun truck to upgrade from dull to good looking
Don't get me wrong, I don't love the truck, the wheels and lift are god damn stupid, I just like that a 40 year old Dodge truck got a cool paint job, and made it to SEMA that's pretty damn uncommon
I talked to a guy in one of the booths, and this was the cool trophy he's going home with, autographed!
the car doesn't impress me, but the yellow head light idea does
Saltworks 3d Solutions does one hell of a job making cool as hell scale models of a project
This year, the Absorber booth was a bit more subdued, but still had real grass, and a very cool car commissioned by Poteet, Foose designed, Trepanier built, Sniper.
Last time I saw this was at a local car cruise

the far north lot was finally used for display again! Not many people even realize there is a lot out the far end of the Central hall, on the North side, labeled "Vehicle Displays" because it's been empty since covid
In the map below, just to the right of center, top
one of the cool things most people don't know about SEMA, is that you see a lot of impeccably crafted vehicles that LOOK like the factory made them, but it took someone with talent to pull off instead
makes me wonder what this is like to drive around a corner... abruptly I suppose!
I didn't know steering could go this far to the stops
I wonder if there is an advantage to making a race car out of an older car like this MB, than a new car, besides the extreme amount of cool free publicity from us car guys that love to see old cars getting a 2nd life (much cooler than the 1st life as a commuter)
someone dressed up this gullwing a lot
