I noticed that in the photos too... I see two bumps in the hood hinge area, and trunk hinge area. Darned if I know! Until I go past there again, all we have is these photos
It is a 1964 Comet Caliente , the strange things on the trunk look to be barn door hinges. The car also has some kind of traction device under the front of the leaf springs. It’s a V8 car because of the five lugs on the wheels, 6cyl. Cars had four lugs.
