If this is a right-hand drive, then it is over twenty-five years old. I forgot the name of this model but there is an owner's club nationwide for these. It should have Diesel power.
And this is a 4x4 version of the L300. In my country they have been used a few in the past for accidents only accessible through rough dirt roads or for giving first aid services and sporting events, sometimes with first aid station trailers. Every bigger ambulance stations had one besides the normal ambulances. They were relatively small, but if you compare them to VW Transporters of the same era it is about the same in size. http://www.policecars.hu/p/displayimage.php?album=search&cat=0&pos=14
These vans are from the 90's. They share the drivetrain with the Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero. They came with V6 and diesel engines. Because they share many parts with Pajeros there is significant aftermarket support for them and can be turned into very capable off-road vehicles.
