Chuck Connors looking very similar to Steve McQueen's dune jump with a woman in the passenger seat holding on for life

It's a slightly different dune buggy in the opening sequence of Cowboy In Africa (which I've never heard of before) and the passenger is the supporting actor

Above from a bad copy but I have to thank Steve for knowing this even existed at ALL!
Below from the video I linked to AFTER going through and getting all those screen grabs.

  1. Looks like she's enjoying the hell out of it too. Boy, Connor's was no small guy, was he?

    1. Similar, as the one in the video doesn't have the accessory spotlights, but wow... how the hell did you find that video?

    2. The gas cap in the hood is different too.. might have been like todays tv shows, some have the budget for the working car, and have a star car for close ups and promotion - marketing - publicity.

  3. Hmm, now I'm confused. This pic looks very much like the one in the first pic and is captioned 'Cowboy in Africa'.

Also, the black and white version here states the same.

So you could well be right about the action shots and publicity shots. The one in the static pics looks way too nice to be ragging over jumps and stuff :-D

    1. the 1st one you link to, now added to the post, is the same as the one he was jumping with the woman passenger. However, now with a windshield folded down. Same rims, tires, spotlights! Great find! thanks!
