Acura supercar from the Avengers movie, Tony Stark / Iron Man's super car

above 2 images from http://www.caughtonset.com/robert-downey-jr-mark-ruffalo-avengers/ which has incredible coverage of movie stars during the movie making process

below 2 photos I took at SEMA 2012

below infographic is from http://collider.com/avengers-movie-tony-stark-car-images/140630/ because the Sundance Film Festival was a location for marketing of the Avengers movie, and the car and the info were found by Collider.com who lists the info in text on the previous link, instead of you trying to read all the super spy/ high tech gadgets of the below photo. Some of the gizmos are a palm-scan ID steering wheel, enviro-clone projected hologram of surroundings, self-detonating recon drone, night-vision HUD windshield etc etc . Good closeups of the car at the Collider link as well

Similar thoughts about the Iron Man cars had me look to see if they are online somewhere, and I found that About.com has a full listing and some information about the cars in Tony Starks garage. Like the 32 roadster is actually Jon Favreau's. http://exoticcars.about.com/od/famousfilmcars/tp/IronMan2.htm who compared the cars in the garage in Iron Man one to Iron Man 2 and let us know that the Saleen and the Tesla didn't make it to the second movie.

want a '69 Mustang, (GT, Boss 302, Shelby) but without 43 years of age and problems? A new 2012 or 13 in all ways but looks, Retro Built is making cool looking 1969's from brand new Mustangs, and Carroll Shelby recommends them!

The retro-coupe features power-operated sport buckets with lumbar support, ice-cold air conditioning, six airbags and a full factory warranty. It also comes with a new fuel-injected 5.0-liter with 420 horsepower.

something to like about the Retro Built that the originals didn't have? Airbags, cupholders, and awesome stereos

Retrobuilt's 1969 Fastback is one slick, no-compromise muscle car. Its fit and finish appeared top-notch, and everything on the vehicle passed close scrutiny (especially to the countless onlookers in the parking lot who were magnetically drawn to the Fastback when we stopped to chat). In terms of pricing, the full Retrobuilt treatment costs about $30,000 above and beyond the price of the donor vehicle – a figure much easier to swallow if you consider the work involved. above 2 composite images and paragraphs from http://www.autoblog.com/2012/11/30/retrobuilt-1969-mustang-fastback-first-drive-review/

http://www.retrobuilt.com/ is their website. You won't learn everything on their site, some things I picked up from talking to the guys is that occasionally they get lucky when finding source material cars... you know, the new car under the cool exterior. Hail damaged cars are perfect to start with. New on the dealership lots, but unsellable by factory delaerships. However, all the hail damage is only to the new car design you don't like anyway!

the vehicles in the movie "I Robot"

isn't that a beautiful design?!

best for last, Will Smith riding a motorcycle. The bike he's riding, an SPR, I've never heard of before... it's an MV Agusta SPR. One of the fastest street bikes. In the F4 class, 750cc.  300 produced (like most MV Agusta bikes, no more than 300 of any model since 1999)

but the movie prop cars have a bit of a tire problem when you can press pause at the right time

"Turbo" the new animated from dreamworks about a snail that gets his wish to be in the Indy 500

above image from http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1070443776/tt1860353

bottom image from http://screenrant.com/turbo-movie-trailer-2013/ along with the following synopsis:

Turbo is a snail who dreams of being the greatest racer in the world, just like his hero, 5-time Indianapolis 500 champ, Guy Gagne. His obsession with speed and all things fast has made him an oddity and outsider in the slow and cautious snail community, and a constant embarrassment to his careful older brother, Chet. Turbo desperately wishes he could escape the slow-paced life he’s living. As luck would have it, he gets that chance one fateful day after a freak accident when he suddenly finds himself vested with the power of incredible speed. Turbo embarks on an extraordinary journey to achieve the impossible: racing against the best that IndyCar has to offer. Turbo is the ultimate underdog who achieves the impossible by refusing to let his limitations get in the way of his dreams.

Change a couple words and names, and you have Ratatouille

After making fast friends with a crew of streetwise, tricked-out es-car-goes, Turbo learns that no one succeeds on their own. So he puts his heart and shell on the line to help his pals achieve their dreams, before Turbo-charging his own impossible dream: winning the Indy 500. this description from http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/dreamworks/turbo/

cast includes Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzmán, Ken Jeong, Snoop Dogg, Samuel L. Jackson

Herbie: Fully Loaded... another fun Herbie movie, which never let you down. Reminds you how many great race cars have been in Herbie movies

made up Nascar style. Ever wonder why VW never got into Nascar? VW makes the Bugatti Veyron, they can definitely make a competitive race car

only Herbie can land on, and destroy, a monster truck

from the movie Herbie Fully Loaded... Matt Dillon, Michael Keaton, Lindsay Lohan, Justin Long, guest starring Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Dale Jarrett, Tony Stewart
