things look a lot more impressive in the dark, when lit by fire. Just my opinion of course, but ask any guy who was ever in love with the way his date looked in the campfire light. See what I mean?
That is the Marine version that can land in a vertical decent as you can see. There is a test range Northwest Arkansas and we here them of a regular basis and they are really loud. We also have an Air Force base 100 miles south on our place that does all C-130 training including all foreign countries that have C-130s. They will fly up here and drop down low over the White River and fly up the river on the deck then pull up over the ridge and be gone. I think I got a picture of one as he banked over my shop . So damn low you could see the rivet heads. I took some pictures and will see if I can find them. Always wanted to catch a flight in one while in Vietnam but never had the chance but I did fly in the C-123.
