On Friday morning, a car was pulled from Jordan Lake in Chatham County after a fisherman saw it on sonar earlier in the week.

The submerged vehicle, an early 2000s Nissan Maxima, was found under the U.S. Highway 64 bridge, a spot where the lake was about 30 feet deep. No one was inside the vehicle. 

Chatham County deputies initially responded to the scene Tuesday, but found no signs of a recent crash and received no reports of missing motorists in the area.
