    2. Sheep in NZ are fenced in. Emu and Ostrich run wild in Australia but not here. These are known as bull bars colloquially.

    3. oh... so, the cattle are often out causing a traffic hazard? That's something I wouldn't have guessed at. Thanks for the info... I know nothing about NZ wildlife
