The cables from hood to roof rails are known as limb risers or branch deflectors to deflect tree branches away from the windshield to avoid breaking it.

ReplyDeleteAt least they made an attempt to make it off-road capable and it doesn't actually look too awful. It has a unique look without really forcing it with a bunch of janky angles and blank scoops (looking at you Honda Civic) stuck all over the place. I don't think it will be taking Jeeps lunch money at recess but it isn't bad. Chevy didn't even pretend to try with the Blazer, which really broke my heart. Now, If someone could make a new Scout that was true to the originals (an affordable Bollinger), I'd be mighty interested.

Bronco 2 Door & 4 Door actually based on the new Ranger, built in the same plant in Wayne, MI. Bronco SPORT is a "toughened" version of the Ford Escape, also built in the same plant as the Escape in Louisville, KY. No relationship to the Explorer at all.
