just sitting there on a side street looking like the owner gave up on it... but it looks like it's never had a rich owner, and is beginning to show the decades of neglect

Why this neighborhood insists on such hideous rims, on so MANY cool old cars, I do not know

I almost bought a Mustang like this, but fastback, in 1988, when I was in high school. The only problem that the seller, the mom of a co-worker knew of, was a busted timing chain. 500 bucks.

I STILL regret that my asshole step dad didn't step up, back my chance at that Mustang, as I had the money. I didn't have the tools, or know how, to do an engine rebuild... but hell, it was a 289, that's not a jigsaw puzzle.

Anyway, that was the one chance I recall nearly having at a fixer upper, cheap, and cool

seen on tonight's walk

Chevelle? Horrid rims.

they are asking 2500, it's not running. It's likely total junk. 73 Super Beetle

The Whisky A Go Go, 1964. The first ever live music venue to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame (thank you Capt Doug!)

The Whisky had to spell its name without the ‘e’ in whiskey because Los Angeles city zoning laws didn’t allow any club to be named after alcohols

Apparently the morons in city hall had no understanding of the word Whisky/Whiskey is the same alcoholic beverage, but spelled with an E in the Irish and American version, and without the E in the Scottish version

the Go Go dancer was a term coined here, when they got the dancing going by the DJ between songs by the featured artist, Johnny Rivers, later they got dancers to dress in the similar costume of a typical "go go" dancer

Johnny Rivers is best known for a string of 1960s hits, including his #1 single "Poor Side of Town," the iconic theme "Secret Agent Man," and popular live covers of "Memphis," "Mountain of Love," and "The Midnight Special". Other notable hits include "Summer Rain," "Baby I Need Your Loving," and "Rockin' Pneumonia And the Boogie Woogie Flu"

they crashed a couple planes in the same place at the same time, and the insurance company decided it was worth the expense to get a team in to fix them. Jan, 1937 in the Yukon

Getting the wing off... that was a trick. It was all wood.

Once off, they did something few wings have ever had done... repairs inside a cabin!

the window was big enough to fit the wing through, so they removed the window, fired up the stove, strung up some canvas to keep the heat in, and got to work

the walk tonight had a lot to see

it's been a while since I've seen a 60s Continental on the street

it's a 4 door Galaxie... why? Why the hell not get a 2 door?

it's rare to see a Mopar wagon, especially from the past 25 years

I'm not sure what's under the hood, I don't think I even have a good guess... but the door handles prove it's a cool 2 door from the right era, and that's good enough

I don't recall seeing a Dodge Stealth in a long time, driving, parked, or at a car show... so finding one on the street today was a surprise, but the horribly ugly rims that were offset to the outside? Oh boy. They suck

the 91-96 Stealth was a departure from the typical Mopar, the conservative cheap junk like the newer Avenger, base Dart, base Charger, etc.

Maybe it was the start of the big swings into the new designs that Mopar got into, like the Prowler, Viper, etc. Sadly, they gave up on big risky designs, and went back to boring with the Charger, 200, Avenger, and Dart. The Challenger was a good move, but the 4 door Charger was stupid, it would look much better as a 2 door
