A ghost town named Goo... another was named Tunk - so there must have been enough odd named ones that it wasn't very unusual


Goo was likely located off of a railroad branch that extended from Boyne Falls area toward Alba. It doesn't sound like it was much of a town, more likely a logging camp or small settlement.

"Goo" appears in the Rand McNally Shippers Guide for Michigan, 1908 and 1917.
