Delaware and Hudson Canal Company railcar #10 "Comet" built in 1882, designed for the company’s famous Gravity Railroad, which transported anthracite coal and passengers over the Moosic Mountains between Carbondale and Honesdale, Pennsylvania

Built in early 1882 along side her sister coach #9 "Eclipse", but the Comet was one of the few "smoking cars".

When service ended in 1899 the car was taken up to its current location by draw horses, becoming a small ski factory for a time, then afterwards, a painters studio
