what are these rims? David is working at the Pete, and they are restoring a lunar rover trainer and need to know what rims were used

  1. Looks like a 1 ton truck wheel much like my 79 Chevy flatbed. I will get a picture after I get back from the VA.

    1. I stand corrected. Didn't count the number of holes for the retaining nuts. Long day at the VA is my excuse.

  2. Looks like a Olds Toronado to me.

  3. I vote for Olds Toronado!

  4. Those look like five lug wheels, which would, I think, disqualify them for the Chevy truck. Also quite a lot of dish. I looked up Toronado original steel wheels, and I think Chuck and Bluehill are right.

  5. Once again I correct myself. I believe those are 6 lug wheels but I would be mistaken.

  6. The lug count is difficult to be sure of, and I thought at first it was 6 but I think it's a perspective issue or other clutter in the image. If you go by the number of wheel perforations (10) and the space between the more visible lugs, I think it comes out to 5. However, I am keeping my stick handy just in case the horse is still moving.
