made in the innovative and inventive era of car parts

  1. Years ago I had another one of those gadgets, in fact a couple in the box, but I gave one away. It was a little canister with a light spring-suspended weight and a switch inside. The idea was to connect this to the horn of the car, and if it was stolen the horn would beep randomly when the car jiggled! It was, of course, pretty easy to disarm, and as I recall it was a big red canister, but I suppose back in the 1920's or so, it would be unexpected enough that thieves would not look for it before driving off. I've lost rack of the one I had, and can't now remember the name.
