    Not so charming if you lived there at the time! Usually it was accompanied by t odor of stale urine against the walls.

      lol, well, I did say sentimentally charming. Not charming in person... the grunge, poverty, pollution, and all the other New York problems a person would encounter in person, in addition to railroad employees that are constantly irritated by train fans being near the tracks!
