It's stunning how many abandoned cars with years old expired registration are on the streets, not getting tickets, all over the area I'm walking around. 1993 Nissan NX 2000, stick shift
So, is THIS the secret to not getting a ticket? Have several colors in the registration area?
When I was growing up in LA in the 60's, you'd see "Meter Maids" driving around in HD Servicars chalking tires and writing tickets for parking violations - and presumably, expired registration. I guess that's a thing of the past.
San Diego had meter maids in three wheelers until just a couple years ago, when they got electric Mustangs. I think the crux of it is that this area doesn't get any meter maids, it's all residential, and no meters. I believe no cops are looking for registration or parking violations at all. And there are so many expired registration, and abandoned cars
