That's one of the few Valiants I've looked and and thought "that would be kind of nice to have." Though the "automatico" emblem gives one pause. The pushbutton automatic that some Valiants had was, to put it mildly, hard to love. I could see, a little convertible with the slant 6 engine anda proper transmission being a pretty nice daily driver.
Right, a small car, a fun little thing, and of course, a few upgrades would go a long way to increasing power and braking, even suspension, so it's even more fun. Imagine this little car out corner carving! Cone dodging! With the top down!
Wow Jesse! who knew such a creature even existed and in such remarkable condition too. I wonder if you'll be able to spot it again in or around the same neighborhood...
I didn't! I can check to see if and when it comes back if you want to know, it's a block from where I work. Those bumpers are primo, they've either been replaced, or rechromed and straightened out. It's really damn rare to have original bumpers this perfect when it's not museum kept.

DeleteWell preserved and unheard of by me. Thanks for the treat.
ReplyDeleteyou're welcome!
DeleteI have never heard of one, Is it Mexico built? I did have a 1964 Valiant, teal 4 door 6 cyl and quite rusty.
ReplyDelete"was not available in the US or anywhere else outside of Mexico" so, yes. It is Mexico built. You're killing me Jack.
DeleteYa, looking back that was kind of a stupid question. I kill myself sometimes but in my defense, you are closer to Mexico than I am ;)
DeleteBeautiful photos of this amazing car! Warm greetings from Montreal, Canada.
ReplyDeleteWarm? It got to 85 here today! Thanks!
