  1. To me I love watching TCM with the old movies and old cars-trucks running in the shows. So Cool!

    1. Ditto... but I gave up on cable tv. I heard that TCM and the other classic movie channel went to putting commercials into the movies too.. and that's why I had already given up on cable. I'm so utterly fed up with commercials. I refuse to listen to them on radio, so I have XM sirius for 8 dollars a month. I listen to podcasts, and they have no commercials, and I have streaming services like Netflix, Apple, etc, and of course, now we have to pay more for the upper tier commercial free version, but fine.
I do think that it would be great if there was a Netflix type service just for old movies, but I haven't heard of one.
One where you simply pick the movie by title, or cast.
When I was young, and in the Navy, and not getting paid shit, I had soooo much time on my hands to watch tv, the least expensive way to pass time (unless a guy is into working out for exercise) (or can't afford a guitar, and I couldn't) and I made a point to watch all the Glenn Ford movies, and all the movies with Jimmy Stewart, Henry Fonda, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, and Spencer Tracy.
By the way, utterly fun movies I bought the DVDs of, so I never have to pay to watch them again, are the Thin Man movies! So darn fun! Have you seen them?
