I am about to unleash on you, a piece of bicycle trivia, that probably none of you have EVER heard of

 Why was the bike hoisted up the flag pole?

The annual spring "Panty Raid" by the Notre Dame boys was symbolized by the raising of a bike up the flagpole. The University of Michigan created this college prank in 1952... 

You did NOT see that coming!

    I had much enjoyment reading this, particularly because our nephew and his wife are denizens of Ann Arbor. I sent it to them for their school spirit and pride.

      it's the most bizarre thing I've ever heard of a bicycle being used for, and I've seen a LOT of crazy stuff! I'm still laughing about this
