do you remember when? 1977 version of The Hardy Boys. (Loved those books as a kid, enjoyed every version of the tv shows that have popped up around the streaming services too)


I only recently learned that Shawn is the brother of the Partridge Family David Cassidy. Both achieved a LOT of fame from TV in the 70s. 

Oddly, Shirly Jones of the Partridge Family was David's tv mom, but Shawn's mom in real life. 

I wonder how many bothers ever achieved similar levels of fame, independently, for unconnected tv shows or music? Unlike the Jacksons, Osmonds, etc who were all part of a family project.

    The first that come to mind are James Arness (Gunsmoke) and Peter Graves (Mission Impossible), which likely discloses the color of my hair.

    And then I remembered the Howard's, Ron and Clint and the Belushi's, John and Jim. They rarely acted together and had mostly independent careers. I know nothing of the Belushi's backgrounds, but the Howard's followed in their father's footsteps as actors as did the Cassidy brothers you mentioned. If I remember correctly Jack Cassidy had a career as a singer, too. You can internet fact check me if you like... I might be thinking of his wife Shirley Jones.

      you got it! Clint was famous for Gentle Ben, then Ron for Happy Days, but both were tv show actors, so, similar project, I didn't communicate my idea that I had in mind very well, but I was asking about siblings that were not in the same field, like the Howards in acting, but like the Cassidys, one in music, one in acting. The Stooges, and Marx brothers were similarly famous for the family act, comedy...
