ever heard of the 1990s manga, Gunsmith Cats? Me neither, until the week before last, at Comic Con. It's pretty cool... the main character, a 19 yr old who operates a gun shop, and drives a Shelby Cobra GT500. Inspired by the French Connection

and the artist drew several other vehicles to:

19-year-old Irene "Rally" Vincent operates the titular "Gunsmith Cats" gun shop but also works as a bounty hunter

Rally is an expert combat shooter and marksman with just about every firearm in existence, as well as a brilliant driver.

her housemate, former prostitute "Minnie" May Hopkins, is an explosives expert, knowing the inner workings of and many uses of all manner of explosive devices.

When I was in the booth, another guy walked by, saw what I was looking at, said "hell ya, fuck ya, Kenichi Sonada!" so... I take it, this is a legendary artist.

Having read the Gunsmith Cats omnibus Book 1, I can tell you, it's fun, and the art? Seriously good!

In the city of Chicago, Rally Vincent is an expert gun owner and maintenance expert who owns a gun shop by the name of Gunsmith Cats. That’s her primary business, but at night Rally takes to the streets as a bounty hunter using her amazing gun handling skills to take down criminals for pay. Rally being a expert is how she makes a living. Her partner is Minnie May, an explosive happy person who loves throwing grenades everywhere. Minnie is a lot more happy go lucky, so she helps balance Rally’s professionalism and rigidness with her own sense of wonder and spontaneity.

A couple other episodes can be seen here : https://www.youtube.com/@fulltism

The story is fun, the characters are well written and entertaining, and the attention to detail is superb. Chicago is brought to animated life, and fans of guns and cars will have more than enough to look at.

It seems this isn't on any streaming service, and the blu ray isn't available on Amazon or Ebay.

This post took 3 hours. Yeah, some posts just get put on hold until I can spare the time
