interesting Hollywood prop in a booth that was promoting a Ridley Scott production, Modville, a neo-noir graphic novel about New Orleans district in 2169, inhabited by thousands of modified humans (think Blade Runner meets Reminiscence)

Modville Book One, out in March through Kickstarter and completed already, is the first volume in an eight-book series.

The year is 2169 - the abandoned French quarter of New Orleans acts as a safe haven for the population of artificial humans known as MODS. In a world of crime and seemingly super-powered police ability, a nefarious darkness grows in the shadows of Modville.

Here in the flooded French Quarter, they have set up an idyllic, tight-knit community where they can live freely... until MOD girls start to go missing, ritualistically murdered by one of their own.

With no police to keep them safe, their only hope is a spent shell casing of a human named Hawthorne and his estranged MOD daughter.

"Being a JURIS agent is the worst job on the police force. You have to enter the minds of the worst criminals. Hawthorne is the longest-serving JURIS agent and the best one they've ever had. It has taken its toll on him…"
