Popular Mechanics and Road and Track are both owned by Hearst. But rehashing the same info, that's just lazy

Popular Mechanics has rehashed the Road and Track list of the 50 coolest cars ever made, the ones that are lusted after... and still doesn't make any damn sense. The Shelby Cobra, GT 350 Cobra Mustang, and Jag E Type are at 11, 12, and 13... lower in rank than the Matra #10, the 66 Alfa Spider #9, and the Toronado #8. That's bullshit
I don't know what all the cars listed are, but I have to agree on the placement, though I may be a little biased. I may have mentioned this before, but back when I was a kid my dad and I would go to the International Automobile Show at the NY Coliseum every year for a while. In 1961, the last year I went, was when the Jaguar XKE debuted. Now maybe that's not the greatest car ever made in the big picture of things, but in 1961, it was spectacular. I mean, I was 13 then, and when I saw that XKE I nearly fainted, it was not only so radical but so beautiful. There are a few things in life that hit a kid like that. One was the first Nikon F I ever saw, and another was that Jaguar! Number 1? Maybe not but I wouldn't argue too much if it were.
