OMFG, does Rancho Santa Fe really want to be that sort of snobby town that they fake post a cop cruiser on the edge of town? Geeez, what a revolting way to put your core traits out in public
Yes, empty. makes me want to put a big damn sign on the windshield.... it would either say "welcome to putzville" or "No Cop, No Stop!" or something similarly derogatory toward the town for such a stupid display of wasting money on doing NOTHING.... fix a pothole you mooks!
It would look a lot better if it was booted for unsafe parking.
ReplyDeleteThe county my uncle worked in, in Florida, suddenly had a problem with people speeding on I-95 and crashing etc. the sheriffs department had some old cars and would set up five of them on the interstate in various places, and had a county employee on a folding scooter move them around twice a day to a different location. it actually worked, turns out, people dont drive as fast and cut people off changing lanes etc, when they see a cop car.
ReplyDeleteNorthwest Arkansas is well known as the countries largest number of high speed pursuits ian Pit maneuvers. I think there is a Youtube channel sut for them but I do see them on TV and Youtube at times. People drive at unbelievable speeds that is totally insane. I see it everytime I ride the DAV van to the Little Rock VA and they are just as bad as North Arkansas. The do leave empty state police cars on the side of the highway with other troopers patrolling the service roads and they do get them on a regular basis. That's one of the main reason I don't drive down there. And I thought Texas was bad. I'll have to tell you about that rodeo sometime.
