I just learned that Hank died last year at age 99, and his Cobra (CSX 2227) is getting sold at Mecum, just like he predicted. His kids didn't want it at all, but knew it's worth millions, as Hank had been offered 2M, and they'd eventually auction it off

it's the small moments in life that cause you to think about your decisions.... it's not the 1/3rd of your life you're asleep, or 1/3'd of your life you're at work. Nope. It's the "OH SHIT" panic moments when you have zero idea how to cope
biking along when the lights go off... or being in an elevator when the electricity fails...
It's things like that when I have had serious moments of realizing I've made BAD decisions, and am in, WAY over my head

the Ford CEO recently admitted that the company lost billions selling sedans in the U.S. – which is why it chose to discontinue them.
So, now that the EV is clearly not a good idea to invest all the corporate future on, and Ford lost it's shirt on sedans, GM and Chrysler went bankrupt ... is it finally clear that Ford needs to revert to the winning formula it had for 6 decades until 1971?
Inexpensive small 2 door cars (model t, T bird, Mustang) changed the world, and exerted Ford's dominance around the world.
It's also how VW Beetles had 30 or 40 years of success
It's how Honda and Toyota shut down the American car market.
Does anyone not understand that the best selling cars in the world have always been the lest expensive? (Model T, VW Beetle)

YR-6A helicopter initial production was by Sikorsky, but most examples were built by Nash-Kelvinator.
I love how some creators, artists, authors, are autographing their stuff in stores, first I saw was Neil Gaiman signing books in an airport's bookstore incognito, now, here's Daniel Simon signing Hot Wheels in a grocery store
the California Attorney General warned police about the license plate data law. They ignored him, and sold or shared the data with as many as 130 other agencies... illegally
The College of the Sequoias District Police Department, in the Central Valley, was second with 91.
The Menifee Police Department, in the Inland Empire, was the third highest with 30.
A report published Wednesday by the Sacramento County grand jury found the Sheriff’s Office and Sacramento Police Department both recently shared license plate data out of state.
Law enforcement agencies say the readers are a powerful aid to solving crimes. Along with scanning license plates, police tout how the cameras can capture other information about vehicles, such as their type, which can help quickly track down suspects. Accessing another department’s data, they add, can be critical to making an arrest. Beyond that, agencies’ desire to share the information centers around a dispute over state law. In 2015, the Legislature passed a bill that said California police departments are only allowed to share license plate data with other public agencies. The Attorney General’s Office argued in an October bulletin that the bill’s definition of a public agency is limited to only those in California. But state police associations countered that the law does not explicitly prohibit the sharing of data outside the state.
