70 Nova SS


I can't remember seeing anyone drive one of these in 30 years. 

I just learned from this article that the 1962 Chevy II was the base trim, and the Nova was the high price trim.

  1. My old boss has a 73 or 74 Nova that he bought when he was a teenager and he's now about 40. He drove it about 30 minutes each way to work a lot of times during the summer. He converted the automatic to a 5 speed and had plans to put a turbo LS engine in it, but I think he put that on hold. His license plate on that car was something like "DRIVEIT"

    1. and that is a guy that hadn't made a car payment in decades!

    2. Not on that car, but he also had a newish Tacoma pickup, his wife's vehicle, a street motorcyle and a road-racing motorcyle. But he was smart to keep the Nova and be able to make improvements to it over the years.
