Really Jesse? "Shocked"? These cars were not back breakers back then. I seriously contemplated a new GTO in 1964, but decided to go back to school. I did buy a new 1967 Firebird when I was 22. (you figure out how old I am - LOL) The Firebird was $2,500 off the showroom floor ( I still remember that day! I was so proud! ), I was newly married and in a new job making $6,600 a year. In tall cotton! Now hanging onto the car for that long IS a real accomplishment!
