It's been in a garage since 1976, and only has 976 miles on it... the RTS Barracuda. It was bought in 1976 after the car show craze was over, and put into storage and never driven
Very cool that it has stayed so original and in such good condition over the years. It is going to be sold at Mecum's Indianapolis auction next month, probably for a lot of $$.
I happened to turn on the TV a few nights ago, right when this was being sold at the Mecum auction. I think it was about $500k, then ended up selling for $2 million, which surprised me. The man who was bidding in person didn't look like someone who would spend that much on a car, but you can never tell by appearances, I guess. The sellers did a good job of cleaning the car up before the sale. It looked really nice.
