the tip jar is up, only for the usual month of time, in the notion that it makes sense to go up at Thanksgiving, and be up for Christmas, and then come down

 I thank you who've asked about it through the past year, but I think it makes sense to have it up only for a small amount of time, annually, and then do my part and post cool stuff the rest of the time. 

I doubt anyone can offer a better reason to have it up all year, lol, it's not going to be used more than once at year is my guess, so, there's no reason to have it, or advertising, or anything less than the usual mix of fun stuff on the blog the rest of the year
