My first car, a 1939 Ford w/ a '49 Mercury flathead, when I was 16. Sequence of repairs: clutch; 2nd gear cluster in trans; driveshaft; studs on left rear wheel; left drive axle; back to the clutch. Let's not even talk about tires! This was a torque tube setup so to change the clutch or any of the components you had to drop the rear axle. I could get home from school in the after noon (sometimes on a chain behind my Mom's car) and replace the clutch by the end of the evening!
