A 65-year-old Oklahoman, Debra Hamil, refused to sign an $80 ticket for a broken taillight, then kicks the cop in the balls - "Yeah I kicked you, cause I'm a country girl" - yeah, really. She did that, she said that.

That's pretty ridiculous. Well, so was the cop pointing his pistol at her, for that matter, what the hell is he telling her she's under arrest for, not signing the ticket? Hell if I know, is that a felony? A misdemeanor? Is not signing a ticket something cops are supposed to arrest you for? Then how the hell can they leave a ticket on under the wiper blade when you aren't there - as that ticket isn't signed either... anyway, I think he was being an ass telling her she's under arrest, and decided that he was going to deviate from calm and professional, and not escalating matters, to being an asshole, right there.

Was she being an asshole? Of course, but she IS NOT BEING PAID to be professional. Just keep that in mind when I give assholes a pass because they aren't wearing a badge and pointing a gun. If you're an asshole, you ain't ready to have a gun with bullets that you point at old women who DO NOT HAVE a gun.

If you ain't going to use the damn thing, leave it in your holster dumbass. Draw the taser instead, or pepper spray.

Why? O, this ol tiger wasn't going down without a fight... that's for damn sure. She's full of beans, this one is, and ain't got no time for tickets.

By the way, word on a different news outlet was that she TOLD him the brake light lens had been broken for 6 months, and that was where he had that info from at the beginning of the video.

Longer version of the video below....

https://www.kansascity.com/news/nation-world/national/article233319322.html  has an even longer version

Cashion police did not immediately respond to McClatchy news group’s request for comment on the incident on Tuesday afternoon, but Oklahoma state court records said Hamil appeared in court on July 17 facing a felony charge of assaulting a policy officer and a misdemeanor charge of resisting an officer.

Charges filed in Kingfisher County court accuse Hamil of “willfully and unlawfully kicking” the officer “on or about the groin” and of “failing to follow the lawful commands” of a police officer.

The felony battery charge is punishable with up to five years in prison, while the misdemeanor charge of resisting an officer is punishable with up to one year in prison, court records said.

Hamil is set to appear in court next in August, court records said.

Jesse, check the first video about at 1:16. The tail light is not just simply broken, but seems non-existant as the whole back of the pickup is smashed. If she rode that like this for 6 months, the fine is absolutely reasonable. (Of course the police officer's reaction with the arrest and so is a different story, I did not argue with that part at all.)

    1. I hadn't noticed that, wow, good spotting! But, there you are, confirmation that there certainly is no reason for her to be a pain in the ass. I don't think I ever hinted at any inference that I felt she wasn't in the wrong about the fine, so - I guess we're in quite a lot of agreement, she certainly made a stupid issue a big deal, and that cop was ready to go for the ride just to punish her like a chump. Where o where is my hero, Maine State Trooper Stephan Murray? I wish more cops had his incredible patience for stupid people acting like fools

    2. Can't be more agree with you! I bet, if she drops in the "nice old lady charm" she could still leave with a verbal warning.
