  1. Seems like they are both steam powered. Anybody know otherwise?

    1. the amount of gauges on the firewall is a confirmation you are right... and I hadn't noticed that before, so, kudos! Well done! Seems to make a lot of sense that a popcorn vendor vehicle would have the steam to cook the popcorn kernals

    2. I'll even go out on a limb and guess that this is a Prescott steam car. There was a Prescott at the 2014 Greystone Concours, and it had this buggy like flat bottom and wire wheels.

  2. I snooped around on a Cretors site and came across this same picture. It doesn't seem to look like their product. I'm calling it a Prescott until proved otherwise. I noticed a pitcher on top of the unit; maybe for butter or oil. Popcorn wagons are of interest to me, I have a Cretors model C and D in various stages of repair.

    1. wow.. I went out on the limb about Prescott, took a chance on something slim and basically unknown... and I'm pretty happy to get some back up on that long shot!

  3. I know that popcorn venders became known at the 1890s worlds fairs, and they continued roaming the streets through the early 1900s, and then even more so during the Depression since popcorn was cheap. Popcorn started appearing in movie theaters for the first time during the 1930s
