    It has only one cylinder and does not fire on every stroke...

    The thing on the front of the following tractor is the cooling system. Water trickles over a screen and cools off...

    1. I'm familiar with both the engine, and the cooling system from going to the local steam antique tractor museum for the parade of tractors... I hope you've done that too, especially on a cooler fall day, as it was a hot humid dusty day when I did, and I can't recommend those conditions.
