My discovery last week http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2015/03/harry-smeltzer-and-harry-apple-pioneers.html of this 1921 or 22 Goodyear bus used to move employees from the company residential development to the factories was seen by David at the Old Motor, and inspired his new post
Where he didn't find it reasonable to put in a byline to Justacarguy Blogspot for bringing it to light from a dusty old GM forum http://www.cheersandgears.com/topic/78687-gmc-art/ where it's been buried and unseen.
Compare that to an hour later when I pointed out that he did not bother letting his readers know his source or inspiration for this post
Where he doesn't even highlight and italicize the "Coast to coast" camouflaged link to my post.
So I felt it merited a response on his Facebook page. Which he has already deleted. It seems you can tell the true character of a person by their actions and how they treat others.
and when you can show they are a hypocrite
Y'all decide for yourself if it's clearly a personality trait, and unlike most of us that don't feel diminished by lifting up and crediting others for their work, apparently that's not the case with those that have to watermark nearly every photo they post but did not create with THEOLDMOTOR just so you can be sure who is inconsiderate and insecure about crediting a source.
This didn't happen
Aww.........poor baby feeling butt-hurt because you didn't get credited for copying someone else's photo? Guess you're just gonna have to stroke yourself the old fashioned way with lotion and tissues.
ReplyDeleteI didn't copy it you moron, I dug it up out of the lost and found, and brought several of the images to share with everyone. I have the courtesy to give the credit that is due to the sources, and it seems I'm one of the few that doesn't feel that reduces my self image. It's one of the morals you're unfamiliar with. It's associated with honesty, and cowards that talk trash anonymously lack the intellect to comprehend why it matters. Meanwhile, I'll go on fighting the good fight and be sure not to use the tissues at your moms house, I know you've got first dibs on those.
DeleteAnd there it is! The mom reference I foretold months ago! A moron repetition as well! Your continued mastery of language never ceases to astound me. You are aware though that if you are not the original poster of a photo or story you have, in fact, copied it. To be clear, I have no objection to anyone reposting something they found interesting - I frequent many pages that do just that and I find the variety enjoyable. My issue is with your hypocritical stance that what you have copied somehow becomes your own intellectual property. Your incessant whining about not being credited is so very tiresome.
DeleteAnd here you are, back again, because you're too stupid to go find something to do that doesn't remind you what a moron you are, while their insults feed your need for recognition like a dog that is kicked but licks his masters feet.
DeleteTheir insults?. To whom are you referring? Your own are so predictable and boring they are meaningless. Perhaps you should copy someone else's insults and paste them here. You speak of my need for recognition but I post anonymously - that doesn't seem to fit. And why do I post anonymously? Ask David Greenlees how annoying it is to be trolled by some whack job.
ReplyDeleteyou post anonymously because you are pathetic, and a coward. It's not that hard to figure out. I don't have to ask anyone, you are my annoying troll. Hasn't that occurred to you yet?
DeleteI'm not sure how writing comments on a blog pointing out an inaccuracy or a hypocritical point of view makes me a troll. If I was indeed a troll I would take my comments out of the proper forum for discussion and call you out on Facebook or some other unrelated media in an attempt to embarrass you. I comment here because my comments are directed to you and you alone and you have the option as to whether you wish to make them public or not. It makes no difference to me if you publish or not. I have explained my reasons for anonymity, perhaps you would care to make your case for what difference it would make if you knew my name?
Deleteanonymously writing comments on a blog is the definition of troll. Jesus Christ, catch up allready a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_%28Internet%29
DeleteAnd on Facebook if you troll on my page ( Justacarguy does not have a Facebook page) I can just as easily delete a troll post there as I can here. You troll here because you are a coward who can't email or Facebook without either getting a fake account or giving up your identity, you coward. Your reasons for staying anon are simply insecurity, cowardice, and self interest. Grow a pair of balls, or get them surgically implanted.
Deletehas it dawned on you yet you are nothing more than an annoying whack job troll such as you mistook me for? David knows me by name, email, phone number, and website. I am not a troll, I'm his peer you dimwit. He looks at my site to steal story ideas (as evidenced by your trolling me on this), and that is what started this, as I'm sure you've already lost track of.
DeleteHi Jesse,-
ReplyDeleteGood luck fighting those windmills (and kudos to you for not deleting the obnoxious comments above). I've seen some of my cartoons for motorcycle mags resurface years and years after I drew them, predictably with my signature whited out.
Your indignation at not being credited for your original work is completely justified, you should receive the proper recognition If Jesse was upset that someone had used one of his own photos in the same manner I would understand, but in this circumstance the photo in question wasn't his to begin with. I would have been inclined to comment on the Old Motor article that the original source should have been credited. Jesse did credit the source in his post and that is commendable, but calling the author out on his personal Facebook page was wrong and reprehensible.
ReplyDeletein this circumstance, David (Old Motor .com) read my post, used 4 photos I dug out of the internet basement obscurity he would never have found on his own, and hasn't the morals, ethics, decency, professional courtesy, or website etiquette to do the right thing and point out where his source material came from. As you yourself said, crediting the source is commendable. Do you get it yet? If not, just piss off. Also, it's of no relevance if I called out David on his Old Motor Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/theoldmotor/posts/419784981536570 or his personal page where he reposts/links his Old Motor material, it was appropriate to call him out for having no class and ripping off my post photos and not having, as you pointed out, the commendable crediting of where he learned of the photos like he does on the 1000 other posts where he watermarks the images with where he found the and his website, because obviously he finds that being a source of images that other people use is so fucking important that he get his due photo credit. That is why I factually point out he's a hypocrite, that and that he stated how he feels anyone that doesn't credit him as a source is an "inconsiderate person" and that every one should "credit the source" . Pot, meet the black kettle, it's name is David Greenlees the Hypocrite and Dishonest.
