That's a cool pic, but if you look behind the grate you can see a Harley air-cooled pushrod V-Twin. That would have been way too primitive for Ettore Bugatti, even in the 1930's.
Yeah, I bet he would have been on the inline four bandwagon like Henderson, Indian (briefly), and Excelsior.
That is a crazy looking bike, but on the other hand it is aerodynamics to the max in a motorcycle.
