I used to own a 1959 Volk...Thanks for posting this! I used to own a 1959 Volkswagen Deluxe Beetle that was assembled at the SAMAD plant. It was then shipped to the Hans Kriess dealership in Nimibia. The man that bought it eventually moved to Santa Barbara, California, where it sat for many years. It was acquired by the guy I got it from in the 1980's. He rarely drove it. By the time I bought it from him, the car had only 64k original miles. It was an incredible, right hand drive car with S. African made glass and a bunch of S.
