The movie was from 1949. At that time they were racing Early Formula 3 cars with 500cc motorcycle engines since England still had rationing. Stifling Moss drove these, they were how John Cooper built his business - you might buy a Cooper Mini today! Now I believe the Car in the Big Wheel was this car which was one of those 500cc racers from England. It is on "What's in The Barn" w/ Dale Walksler (episode S1/ Ep6) on the TV station VELOCITY by Discovery. The thing looks great and is running great. Mike and Frank found a real gem of a car. Who cares if Mickey Rooney uesd it in the movie. Everyone knows it is a really cool discovery.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16033329191473725153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37353682.post-5579523419169121422012-05-04T18:42:32.974-07:002012-05-04T18:42:32.974-07:00How do either of you know this!? Would love to know who built this model since it is very different from other racers I have seen. Has a lot more style and extra bits which a true racer wouldn't use.Seth Q Publichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06356422519330052951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37353682.post-20000333240916279232012-01-04T10:29:44.424-08:002012-01-04T10:29:44.424-08:00I saw this episode and noticed small section of th...I saw this episode and noticed small section of the car in the picture with Mickey Rooney did not match the car in the museum. I have followed the show closely for the past 5 months. I never watched it but then one day I was bored and I started watching it and I was hooked. Frank and Mike go to some awesome spots and locate awesome valuables. I watch this on my iPad using the Sling adapter technology. I connected this to my employee service with DISH. Now I can watch live TV or what’s on my DVR when I prefer. This lets me keep control of my TV. I never watched as much TV as I do now and I’m enjoying I can.Jay Lohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06852486603576814265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37353682.post-29567694307256968032011-10-25T15:49:38.455-07:002011-10-25T15:49:38.455-07:00cool vehicle..nice blog btw...the topic is similar...cool vehicle..nice blog btw...the topic is similar to mine...I'm a car guy myself :) following!coneforcehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12899708398346155586noreply@blogger.com
